The Gator™ GX Electric and GX Electric Crew Utility Vehicles are powered by a 51.2-V (nominal) lithium-ion battery paired with a powerful electric motor. The electric drive system:
The 51.2-V (nominal) lithium-ion battery ensures long-lasting performance, fast charging, and reliable power. The battery has a rated capacity of 5.376 kilowatt-hours (nominal) and charges overnight.
The electric drive motor delivers responsive torque and smooth acceleration. Regenerative braking is used to extend run time.
The GX Electric and GX Electric Crew utility vehicles are equipped with onboard chargers. Say goodbye to the hassle of handling fuel and trips to a gas station.
The charger port is conveniently located below the driver's seat and is equipped with a charging indicator, so you can ensure the vehicle is charging. A 6-m (19.7-ft) ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI) cord is included.
The Gator™ GX Electric and GX Electric Crew Utility Vehicles are designed to keep you going without interruptions for maintenance. Their maintenance-free lithium-ion battery and electric powertrain free you from traditionally long maintenance checklists:
If you need to push or tow the vehicle, you can activate the tow switch which allows the drive wheels to roll freely. The tow switch is located under the driver’s seat cushion and can cycle the power to energize the vehicle’s electrical system after storage.
NOTE: To tow the vehicle, make sure that the drive-select switch is in the FWD position, and then move the tow switch to the TOW position. After moving the switch from the RUN position to the TOW position, wait at least 15 seconds before moving the switch again. Failure to do so may lead to drive-system damage while towing. If the vehicle is towed with the tow switch in the RUN position, an alarm will sound.
A standard hour meter keeps track of use and makes it easy to know when maintenance should be performed. The hour meter can be found under the driver’s seat, next to the tow switch.
The Gator GX Electric and GX Electric Crew Utility Vehicles are covered by a 2-year or 1500-hour, whichever comes first, warranty. The battery has even more coverage, with a 5-year coverage period.
All repairs are serviced and administrated by your John Deere dealer; there is no need to file claims with component suppliers.
The Gator™ GX Electric and GX Electric Crew Utility Vehicles are designed for passenger comfort and convenience.
The vehicle’s tall-back seats are shaped to contour the passengers. They are made with soft and thick foam that helps absorb bumps. A low step height and spacious operator station makes it easy to get on and off quickly.
A fully independent single A-arm coil over strut front suspension and a semi-independent coil over shock with sway bar rear suspension smooth the ride over rough terrain.
Enjoy a peaceful environment without the noise of an engine. The quiet electric motor allows you to focus on your tasks without distraction and talk to other passengers and people outside the vehicle effortlessly.
A standard canopy protects passengers from the sun and rain, keeping them cool, dry, and comfortable.
An optional hinged poly windshield is available to shield passengers from rain and wind.
GX Electric and GX Electric Crew utility vehicles include light-emitting diode (LED) single-beam headlights, brake, and taillights in base equipment.
The select comfort and convenience package includes:
Lighting equipment and side mirrors are also available as attachments for field conversion.
The base comfort and convenience package includes a foot-operated 95-dBA horn.
The select comfort and convenience package includes an upgrade to a louder 100-dBA horn that can be activated using the foot button and the stalk control.
The Gator™ GX Electric and GX Electric Crew Utility Vehicles have easy-to-understand controls, enabling operators to get on and go with minimal training:
Optional turn signals and dual-beam headlights are operated using an automotive-style stalk control. A foot-operated horn is standard equipment; the optional turn-signal stalk control includes a second horn button.
The Gator™ GX Electric and GX Electric Crew Utility Vehicles include storage locations that keep gear safe, organized, and easily accessible.
A center storage compartment and two cup holders are built into the center of the dash near the USB Type-A power ports. The compartment is ideal for keys, sunglasses, and mobile phones. The cup holders are sized to accommodate large cups and have provisions for handles.
A large storage compartment is also built into each side of the vehicle’s dash. These accessible and easy-to-see compartments are perfect for larger items, like hand tools and work gloves.
A compartment between the driver and passenger seats can hold three additional beverages, or larger items like a tablet or notebook.
A large storage bin is built into the front of the vehicle. The compartment is covered by the vehicle’s hood, so items stay dry and do not fall out. The large compartment is perfect for jackets, coats, tools, and supplies. The hinged cover has detents, which can hold the hood open during access.
Storage trays, under the passenger and driver seats, provide additional weather-resistant locations for smaller handheld tools, keys, and pens. Remove the front seat cushions for access.
The GX Electric Crew model includes cargo storage between the front and rear seats which provides a place for long items such as bags, cases, and long tools. The between-seat storage measures 107-cm (42-in.) wide, 19-cm (7.5-in.) long, and 27-cm (10.5-in.) tall.

The JDLink M Modem regularly transmits the location and operational status of each vehicle in the fleet so you can monitor progress in Operations Center.
The modem regularly transmits the vehicle’s engine hours to inform maintenance planning and balance use.
Factory or custom maintenance plans can be established in Operations Center. Maintenance alerts are sent when engine hours reach maintenance intervals.
On select products, the modem reports the hours the vehicle spent working and idling. The Operations Center’s Machine Analyzer tool reports usage data which allows you to analyze operator behavior, identify causes of low productivity, and initiate corrective actions.
On select products, the modem reports the fuel level. On these products, an analysis of fuel consumption is available in the Operations Center Machine Analyzer Tool. Measuring fuel consumption enables you to address causes of excessive fuel use.
On select products, the modem transmits the trouble codes generated by the vehicle’s control units to the Operations Center. Addressing DTCs can reduce downtime and repair costs. For example, a low-engine oil pressure DTC can indicate an engine is low on oil. Addressing the issue can prevent costly downtime and repairs.
To help address issues quickly, when a DTC is generated, the Operations Center can display a push notification on the mobile app and send an email. Operations Center can also be configured to limit notifications to stop-level severity DTCs.
On select products, John Deere dealers can perform remote diagnostics, software programming, and adjustments without the cost of a service call.
A JDLink Modem is included on:
A JDLink M Modem can be field installed on the Gator Utility Vehicles listed below. Field installation attachments simplify modem installation, and include mounting hardware, harness, and instructions. Field installation requires a JDLink M Modem to be ordered separately. The field installation attachments include a wiring harness therefore the modem should be ordered with the less harness option code.
